Enough! I don't want a sharper picture anymore. We upgraded to a LED (Samsung) 120hz Led tv (1080p) due to the death of the old sony. It's so clear it's distracting.

Put your tv in "game mode" to turn off those distractions.

That's known as the soap opera effect and can be turned off on most televisions.

I wonder where the stock photography was taken from? The largest Consumer Electronics Show is in Las Vegas, NV every January, the International CES.

This is kind of funny. Old TV's had curved screens and everyone was excited to get FLAT screens. Now everyone is all excited to get curved screens again. Next they will be excited to get rear projection TV again.... well maybe not.

Concave vs convex. Makes a big difference.

I can only see that shape being useful if you were sitting very close to the TV. Otherwise its just a gimmick.

I see OLED & UHD as trends with legs, but not so much with curved screens that require viewers to sit at an exact spot to get the benefit. Sitting anywhere else can make the curved screen experience worse than a flat screen.

The problem with TV is the content. You want to pay $13,000 to watch the junk on television? The commercials? The talking heads?

I could also afford this TV, but I'm not in the market for a TV right now. Looking to buy a sports car at the moment.

Competition is tough between Samsung and LG but i wonder about the price factor of this technology http://www.bestinnovativesource.com/2013/06/27/samsung-shows-off-their-new-curved-oled-tv-design/
09:43 AM on 06/27/2013
How do you know what I can afford? Anyway, who'd be so foolish as to waste that much money on a TV?!

sorry but I can afford this TV. $13k? That's all? Are the people who traverse this site all living in mom's basement or something?

Having access to $13K isn't the same as being able to afford to blow it on a TV when there are great TVs at a fraction of the cost. You don't have to apologize for being able to afford this TV, but most people wouldn't be able to justify such a purchase, no matter how long they've been out of mom's basement.
