HP, KK and Kwanye called her after a geographical direction, not a boy's name. Just so we're clear

Giving girls names that are traditionally boys' names is nothing new.

Apparently everyone has forgotten, but the names Kimberly, Ashley, Leslie, Allison, Courtney, Vivian, Kelly, Beverly, Evelyn, Aubrey, Lynn, Meredith, Hilary, Jocelyn, Shannon, Avery, Sidney, Joyce, Shirley, Whitley, and Whitney were all originally male names.

Oh, use numbers instead? I like that, and use decimals for the grandkids and scientific notation for the great grandkids.

These people don't need anymore attention and if the magazines want to continue to push these nobody's on us it's time to push back! Hide/Move to back of shelf and absolutely refuse to buy any magazine with Kardashian on the cover.

Giving a boy the name Pheadra? He will be teased constantly in school with that name. Always remember when picking a name how will his classmates use the name against him or in life. Also why not Noreen instead of North? Apple is still worse name ever.

1952 called, they want your comment back.

More and more kids have unique names, and most of us do not live in a world where kids actually beat each other up on the playground because of their name. We have evolved, though only a bit, and very slowly, nonetheless, we still have.

What, North is a boys name? Should they have named her Northilina? Or Northine? One she is named North, it becomes a girls name.

In what WORLD is North a name? Let alone a boy's or girl's name? Seriously Huffpo, it's pretty clear that the Kardashians are paying you MAD stacks of cash to talk about the x amounts of times a day.

Just because there is a movie called something, doesn't make it a name.  Until little Terminator West-Kardashian comes along in a few years.

some people are so out of date that they should keep their mouth shut when it comes to what others name their kids. ever heard of a unisex name which some of the ones mentioned above are Mariah & Nick weren't the first celebrity Couple to use Monroe for a girl Gina Lee Nolin's daughter Stella's middle name is Monroe Stella McCartney also used what are traditionally thought of as boys names for both her daughters Bailey & Riley or one of Lisa Marie Presley's twin daughters has Aaron as one of her middle names to honor Lisa's father Elvis who's middle name was Aaron funny enough he was also a twin but his brother was stillborn 35 minutes before

Before I speak, I have something important to say:

"North" is not a boy's name. It's a direction. Something that these two have none of. Okay, maybe down.
