i love science because it attempts to give us the explanation of everything. it shows us the truth of our existence.

i love the Cassini picture that shows Earth as a pale blue dot in space...Science reveals the true nature of what we are and how we came to be here.

"it shows us the truth of our existence." ... More like the best explanation we can come up with ... I agree ... The Cassini picture is breathtaking

My favorite is among one of the first pictures taken from space, during Apollo 8 mission- Earthrise from the moon. Imagine seeing that for the first time! :D

I like science because I'm curious; it fascinates me even though I am not a scientist. I can often understand what they are discovering. We don't know everything and never will but I sure enjoy finding out what they have discovered recently. I like archeology, cosmology, space travel, time discussion, dimensions (theoretical physics) and even chemistry. I will look at any science thing that seems interesting and most of it is.

Dr. DeGrasse Tyson is an amazing astrophysicist. I watch everything, and listen to everything he does. I hope I am gaining some his knowledge by the transitive property. He is as entertaining as he is informative. The man can dance as well. I have watched every YouTube video of him I could find, and his dance video is among my favorite.

What an ignorant statement. There's no "truth" when it comes to personal spiritual beliefs. I agree with non grata, Tyson has swayed from science. Now he's just a celebrity attacking anyone who doesn't believe in the same thing he does.

He does not attack people of faith. He challenges ideas. I think you should continue to watch his shows.

Challenging the ideas of people of faith IS an attack in their eyes......

You should watch his shows as well. This man is very self-absorbed. He's like the Westbro Baptist of the science community.

I love science because science tells the truth - and is self-correcting.
02:16 PM on 08/07/2013
that's the key, "self-correcting" religious nuts can never correct themselves because their holy book has been divinely inspired.
