An accidental comms tech malfunction from a Mircosoft exec is as likely as an accidental wardrobe malfunction from some desperate slapper on the make.

Looks to me like he is pissed because they are saying this, That whom ever they get sight unseen is better than he is "Roy". That would piss anyone off, To say anyone is better than you! However, does anyone really care on here whether he leaves or not, I sure do not, He can stay for all I care.LOL

Maybe He should stay just to piss them off at the market. LOL

Yawn...

It's a fairly harmless e-mail to make such a big story out ot.

The "back story" is maybe Levin thought everyone should know and it wasn't a mistake that he sent it in the first place. When a CEO has decided to retire or step down it could affect the entire company, so in my opinion, it is important that the entire company is aware of his decision.

Unfortunately for you, this job requires talent and skill, neither of which are taught to you during "orientation".

That's ok since I have plenty of talent and skill already, but tks for your concern.

Why didn't the original sender use BCC in the first place?
11:40 AM on 08/24/2013
If that was a company-wide email, the person who didn't bcc to blind it from reply-all in the first place is the guilty one.

Maybe there's a back story to this. Levin is going to run for Mayor of New York and needs the publicity.

????
nothing wrong with that reply.
11:41 AM on 08/24/2013
The issue with the reply was that it was sent to ALL Microsoft employees. From what the article stated, I believe the retirement announcement was sent to certain executives and not meant to be known company-wide.

so the reply announced the retirement?
Ah..
Otherwise it's quite tame...
12:15 PM on 08/24/2013
I don't think so. It mentions that this was a "Company-wide" announcement that he was responding to, and in his response he states that the "market likes the news," which means investors already know the details.

Shocking News! An executive level person in a company cannot figure out e-mail, along with voice mail, how to make coffee, and the other duties often performed by assistants.
