He’s not my Rep. in congress, but I agree with Rep. Grayson on this issue:

Rep. Alan Grayson said Tuesday that rather than intervening militarily in Syria,
the United States should instead focus on problems at home.

To add to Rep. Grayson’s points, we have a crumbling infrastructure, tens of thousands of Iraq and Afghan War Vets have yet to receive their disability benefits, and we’re still fighting our longest war in Afghanistan. Can anyone tell me why we aren’t yet out of that country?!

The talk out of the Foreign Relations Committee meeting went something like “a small, contained strike, no boots on the ground, just 60-days, this isn't a war…..”

I'm not current with congressional parlance but exploding missiles in another country sounds like “war” to me.
