Porn is filth! Get a real life!! Not to mention a recent article that porn stars, (if indeed you choose to call them stars), are spreading HIV and various forms of STD's to one oanother and their off screen partners!

Hormones are the main driver in libido over which we do not have control. Your reflects more about you than it does "porn users."

Why would a women ever want to watch porn? Except for needing/wanting an extra stimulation to masturbate when alone, men wouldn't either, but aren't most females higher-minded than that?

"Why would a women ever want to watch porn?"

http://www.thefrisky.com/2010-04-26/the-top-10-reasons-women-watch-porn/

FYI

"Who is more likely to seek out pornography online? According to data taken from Internet users who took part in the General Social Survey:

"Men are 543% more likely to look at porn than females.
Those who are politically more liberal are 19% more likely to look at porn.
Those who have ever committed adultery are 218% more likely to look at porn.
Those who have ever engaged in paid sex are 270% more likely to look at porn.
Those who are happily married are 61% less likely to look at porn.
Those with teen children at home are 45% less likely to look at porn.
Regular church attenders are 26% less likely to look at porn than non-attenders, but those self-identified as “fundamentalists” are 91% more likely to look at porn."

"About 64-68% of young adult men and about 18% of women use porn at least once every week. Another 17% of men and another 30% of women use porn 1-2 times per month."

People watch porn to get excited pure and simple. Individuals have sex in college or later if they can get a date, some get married then never have sex again.
People over a certain age can no longer meet people anywhere except on the internet and for some reason they discover that most people are crazy. With the 2nd great depression it is harder to get a date because most women only want men with lots of money and the women want it. All the new jobs are low paying (many); women have no interest in those types. Men turn to porno for pretend sex and I believe that most of them are very young. On the other end, porno is everywhere because money is to be made from it pure and simple. Our puritanical roots are almost dead in this country, however I don't believe that many women look at porno at all, there are those who are in it for some fast bucks to get that new outfit and purse. If anything women will continue to be less submissive as the years pass.

This is just another excuse to put labels on people because certain people basically object to something.

No different than saying those who talk about race are racists.

Myself, I don't really care much for porn no more than I cared for that show "Lifestyles of the rich and famous", because it only makes you want something you know you can't have or be, and I believe in the cliche "out of sight, out of mind".

Porn is like "garbage in garbage out" do not waste your precious time on these sites

Lord knows we don't need men raising their expectations considering the pool most have to work with or they'll never be satisfied.

In other news: women's activists are claiming promiscuity among women causes no ill effects and happily married people are 61% less likely to look at porn.

Mentioned study is a bit ridiculous. They made only a few people (of different backgrounds, I suppose) watch porn and then interviewed them. This study doesn't include context and background of interviewees. Whereas this study has some valid points it misses the fact that media (in general, not porn in particular) is more powerful and has more influence on people's sexual attitudes (all that tv shows, fashion magazines, commercials, movies, blogs). Context plays bigger role. Study says that there is some thing called porn that turns people into sexist pricks. Background of interviewees plays certain role as well. If person is young (in mid to late 20s) hence he (she) was raised in era of internet porn. So it is more possible that he (she) can make a distinction between sexual preferences and conviction (ideology). I agree that any gonzo porn (Rocco Siffredi's porn, for example) is degrading to women and sexist by definition. But it's not all porn that is there. You can go not only in bushy 80s but in middle pubic hair 90s to enjoy passionate beautiful porn (any Andrew Blake's or Penthouse's porn). Conclusion of study should be that sexist gonzo porn makes certain people sexist in workplace. But I know crowd doesn't like nuances.

this study is wacked... i have never even thought that knowing more about the human body and psyche could make me anything less than even more appreciative, respectful and grateful to and for the other sexual partner/s in my life.. But i thank you for being brave enough to broach the subject.. at least it's going to get us feeling, thinking and talking about how things really and truly are.. thats my hope anyways..

Porn helps us be faithful. Men are wired as hunters, they have an instinct to spread the sperm to many different women, this is the male design, it is not a choice, but that is not to say we can't repress that instinct in favor of a monogamous, life-long relationship, done if desired, but not easily. The instinct is still part of us, and that is why porn is important, it keeps men faithful, satisfies the instinct to be with more women without having to cheat.

I don't believe watching porn makes anyone sexist any more than playing Grand Theft Auto makes someone violent. I do believe it does reinforce sexist beliefs we already have.
08:55 AM on 09/25/2013
Re the comment "porn can make you sexist"...These researchers have no way of knowing what the women's views/ideology were prior to this so can't possibly know if this changed it or not.
