Dear Attorney General, (Fill in the state)

I am appalled that you feel it is appropriate to challenge the legality of our duly elected representatives. I am utterly sick of the Republican "perpetual campaign" strategy that disallows our DULY ELECTED OFFICIALS to do the business of the people. This is why the Republican Party is in atrophy--they do not govern, they fleece. And this sour-grape mentality of the Republican Party will come back to haunt them. Are you kidding me? You are against our suffering citizens receiving the advocacy of the American government? There is only one conclusion for me to come to, and that is that you are in the pocket of the insurance industry and I will do every thing in my power to remove you from your position. I will never cast another vote for you and am saddened that the Republican Party deems it appropriate to politicize the law of this land. You will fail--the America TAX PAYERS will prevail.

Respectfully,

Our voices make a difference

So, it was inappropriate for the Democratic Party to challenge the legality of the Campaign Reform Act or the ACLU to challenge election laws in South Carolina, or prohibition or who has the right to vote (women, African Americans). All of these laws established by duly elected representatives. I do not know if the AG's have a case, but so far the arguments against them are no stronger.

It also seems to me that you can never come to agreement when opposition is met with questions like: Why are you against our suffering citizens? Why are you racist? Why do you hate the poor, the planet, immigrants, etc.?

There is only one conclusion to come to because you refuse to believe that any other solution can be anything but anti-[fill in th blank].

Our Virginia AG is claiming that no taxpayer money (other than a $350 filing fee) will be spent on fighting health care reform. Who does he think pays the salaries of the state attorneys who will spend hours on this bs case?

I have family in Richmond and they are having serious buyer's remorse over the governor and the attorney general. Businesses are already reconsidering locating in VA due to the cult mentality and the racial tensions that are sure to erupt. Just think by the end of 4 years, Va could be South Carolina, bankrupt with deficits projected for years into the future, all reserves depleted and double digit unemployment. I resent that my tax dollars are going to hold up Va economy due to Medicare, the FBI etc all having their offices in VA.

I so wish people would pay more attention to who they vote for...

Many of these attorneys general have aspirations for higher office. That means this is free press. What a shame at a time like this.
12:56 AM on 03/25/2010
SCOTUS will have the last word within 18 to 24 months. No big deal. The Government has to collect money for a few years before they start paying out big bucks in 2014.

Through the middle of 2013, nothing much happens. Plenty of time for the legal clarifications to be worked out.
01:35 AM on 03/25/2010
To leave it up to the SCOTUS is like leaving it up to Bush/Cheney to rule on it. That's a scary thought.
02:55 AM on 03/25/2010
These silly states know that they don't have a chance to over rule the feds . They are just playing games for their right wing nut cases.

Kentucky's Attorney General has already voiced his opinion, and the answer is "NO".

“I do not intend to use my authority as Kentucky Attorney General to sign our Commonwealth onto a health care lawsuit against the federal government, because I will not waste taxpayer dollars on a political stunt,” Conway said.

"The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;

The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

The right of every family to a decent home;

The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

The right to a good education.

All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.

For unless there is security here at home there cannot be lasting peace in the world."

Note to GOP: It's The Law Of The Land. We didn't see you so indignant when the Patriot Act stripped us of our Constitutional rights. Your behavior over the past year proves you don't care about every day Americans and you would rather put party over country. This proves to us, the American people, that you are not fit to govern. It's time for you to move south of the border where you would be happier anyway.

A great segment from Rachel's show tonight. If you can't watch the 11 minutes go to about the 5:30 mark where she discusses the threats on Steve Driehaus. Minority Leader Boehner is actually quoted as saying if Driehaus votes yes on the healthcare bill, he is a de*ad man and wil not be able to go home.

many of the states that appear to be against it are populated by the most uninsured and obese citizens with a statistically higher percentage of uninsured...(not so of Washington)...so why not let them opt out...it will reduce the cost for the rest of us...if these idiots don't want health insurance...let them stick there overweight heads in their buckets of soft drinks and junk food, light up their cigarettes and have their quality of life interrupted by serious disease that they will not be able to afford to treat...good luck red state morons!

Many U.S. municipalities may be putting toxic Chinese fluoride in their public drinking water systems. Clean Water quality may have suffered greatly over the past few years. Another American health crisis in the making.
