Lance Baxter is a man of principal and values, he stood up for what he believed in and was fired for it.

Yes, he is and he did. Geico is wrong on this one, and have essentially stated that they value teabagger's business more than everyone else's. Bad move.

So, I thought maybe he had done a commercial against them. But it turns out all he did was make a personal phone call and voice his opinion. I really don't think he should lose his job over a private phone call. It's not like he went on the news. Geico must be a Republican company.

It's insurance, isn't it?
12:23 PM on 04/21/2010
Actually, GEICO (originally: Government Employees Insurance Company) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffett)

Dennis Haysbert could use a break, anyways. Love the actor, tremendous voice (recalls to mind James Earl Jones), want to see him in more than commercials....

What a class-act little lizard! He spoke his mind and accepted the consequences like an adult. Kudos to you D.C.!

Hi Kcinci,

Here's a line very near the bottom of the reporting: He was impassioned by the "slurs the Tea Party crowd angrily yelled at Barney Frank, et al," during the climax of health care reform.

Now while it says "Et. Al." Barney Frank was the only person named by name and when I speed read the document I didn't see the Et Al ....at all.

So I thought to myself, is this guy telling met in code that he's gay because he was motivated by the anti-gay comments made to Sen. Frank.

Far from Lurid...and no stereotyping. But an admittedly vain "Thin Slice" of data...
