jmp, I could have told you so and I live here and certainly didn't vote for this guy but I can tell those who did that they got what they voted for. It still astounds me that people voted for this guy not once but twice!

Let me get this right, a Dem number his the lowest of his term, he is recalled. A Republican numbers hit the lowest his lower than his, but you have to think about recalling him? WoW!! Hypocrisy....

Greg, what's the sense of recalling him at this point when we are just a few months away from an election that will be for better or worse in this case. If nutmeg gets elected, this state might as well drift into the Pacific before it sinks.

Ratings as low as Gray Davis...? But Davis fall was carefully orchestrated and paid for by Congressman Issa, (with the help of Texan's Big Oil manipulating the Energy cost/supply) who expected to become the next Governor. Arnold's disgrace is his own doing...

I'm going to have to defend Arnold on this one. California has been in a mess for years. Prop whatever it was or another that was passed years ago making it so difficult to raise taxes it one of the main problems. The cost of services have increased as has everything else over the years, yet taxes are difficult to raise. They can either stop being foolish and raise taxes or divide California into 2 separate states so that the burden can be better distributed.

None of which was a mystery when Ahnold blustered that he could do better than Davis. Now his big mouth and I-could-lift-a-lot-of-weight-and-make-movies-and-marry-a-Kennedy-so-I-can-do-anything attitude are revealed for the braggadocio they were.

Given that the woes of Davis were partially engineered by the republican party (rolling blackouts courtesy of Enron whose CEO "Kenny Boy" Lay was a good buddy of Dubya), it's some kind of poetic justice to see Schwarzenegger's ratings even lower. My sympathies to the people of California.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.
California needs constitutional reform, and a different proposition process..
Any governor not taking these issues up is doomed to fail.

Yes - the CA Constitution is inadequate for the task of twenty-first century governance - but just try to pry the parasites off of it...

and so it is proven once again, republicans are all hype. they don't do anything better, faster or cheaper. they are con-artist. they will say anything to earn your confidence (vote) and then steal everything you've got and give the benefits to their true constituents, the corporate elite. didn't America learn from the past 8 years of the scam?”
09:38 AM on 07/15/2010
How ironic that Arnie is ending his little venture into politics with the same sad ratings as his predecessor. At the time, I could not see why it was necessary to go through an expensive, divisive campaign when California already had the finest governor that money can buy.
