HP censors will not allow any meaningful dialog about this topic. The ghost of Neville Chamberlain would be proud.

Darn it! I left my other bio at home!

You could make a list like this for Britain and answer, "Catholics". In fact, in any place on Earth where there is dire poverty or the people are not empowered they turn to religious extremism and eventually terrorism. Turn this into a jeopardy answer, "White Christian Supremacists" and you could make a list a mile long of atrocities committed. Point is extremists did these things, not the entire group of people these extremists claim a relationship with.

Who knew tea could taste so sour?

Every time I see Billbo I remember his interview with Jenna Jameson. He was falling all over himself and asked her to send him copies of her movies. You know he's a total freak. (But a good moral, conservative, Christian one, I'm sure.)
Technically, we were beyond survival.

Defend himself? For what, speaking the truth? Puuleeeazzz, those windbags on the View should apologize for their complete lack of proffesionalism. Oh wait, their libs, never mind, professionalism isn't in their vocabulary.

Lack of information is what caused the whole "mosque" controversy. Look into it. It's not a mosque.
YOU are the change!

What can I say about Bill-O. Classy guy.

Bill O'Reilly was booed at Al Sharpton's National Action Network Conference earlier this year. Wonder why? Well back in 2007 he was amazed that Blacks in Harlem ate with knives and forks.

It's all about Bill O. selling more books. The FOX group use this tactic, and the over 65's continue to buy the book. I doubt that they read it.
10:23 PM on 10/17/2010
So Bill retreats to Fox to spread his view, and Behar retreats to CNN to spread hers? and we all choose to accept the CNN version?
The actual statement is correct, albeit with a few numerical exceptions. All this outrage at Fox News doesn't change the fact that Islam itself has internal challenges that have led to the radicalism seen in the US and throughout the world. What should be debated is how the world, inside and outside Islam, deals with it.

Two points I wish an interviewer would bring up when talking to these right winger
1. - Does amyone realize that there was a Mosque on the 14th floor of the south tower, where they prayed every day????? (before 9/11)
2. Does any of these Fox Enterianers realize that a Muslum owns part of the news (fake) coporations that they work for, and is funding the mosque in New York????

Not one interviewer has ever called them out on these questions, which I think are very important to ask!!!!!
10:01 PM on 10/17/2010
That's because there's a bigger picture here. The debate is set by people in power, only certain questions can be asked.

Reporters don't try to get to the root of the problem. They try to play out a drama in front of us.

No need to defend yourself Billo . . .

Anyone who makes the worthless hens on the View (Ms. Walters is ok) run away gets a standing O from me.

It made me laugh
There ain't no shame in my game!

When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's we were terrified by Communist Russians. I have a good friend who grew up in St. Petersberg, and she laughs every time I tell her how Russia was portrayed to us back then. Today, it is Muslim extremists. Tomorrow it will be some other group. People need to learn to separate the cooks from the majority of people. Most Russians had no problem with us. Most Muslims have no problem with us. That is until they see loons like Billo spreading his hate. I say they should build an annex to the Park 51 Community Center right next to Fox News Headquarters.
09:09 PM on 10/17/2010
I think you might be wrong assuming that most Muslims don't have a problem with us. I recommend everyone to visit this page:
Make sure to read the description and the comment that people left, and note the number of attendees. Come to a Muslim neighborhood anywhere in America and speak with them about how they perceive the West. Many people here are obviously in need of a reality check.
There ain't no shame in my game!
09:36 PM on 10/17/2010
That is what I am saying. Most have no problem with us, but they will if fear mongers don't stop lumping every Muslim in with the crazy extremists. There are crazy Christian extremists, but not all Christians are crazy.

O'Reilly the "culture warrior" was just happy someone paid attention to him. He knows that his best days are behind him. The crazies who used to watch him are watching Beck, who is some 15 years younger. O'Reilly, now 61, is already receiving mailings to join the AARP.

When I see O'Reilly, it's like a flashback. I imagine Bush is still president...

You hit the nail on the head. Bill got one last shot at the spotlight. He's a fading pundit star that's fading faster with every passing season. He knows he's no longer the cutting edge and is grasping desperately at every opportunity to get his name into the headlines. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do more melodrama in the near future.
08:10 PM on 10/17/2010
Too funny. Perhaps 'The View' should move to MSNBC.

Billo, we were attacked by the Japanese GOVERNMENT. Not analagous. But you would have liked the concept of our internment camps.
