Why are we wasting our resources (purposely undersized resources, BTW) on these small players when it could be argued that TBTF has brought down the entire global economy by employing a vast control fraud?

Exactly.

The greatest impediment to a quality government is not ignorance, but rather the illusion of purpose.

So 20 years for one count of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy. By that rule, shouldn't the big banksters and big politicians (like Geithner, Bernanke, Summers, Rubin, Mozilo, Lewis, etc.) get life without possibility of parole? Think of the millions in securitization fraud and trillions of dollars in damage these criminal buffoons have caused. Yet there is no investigation. The fraud is flaunted in the faces of the public and waved like a red flag in front of the DOJ, FBI and OCC, but is patently ignored.

I'd love to be on the jury for Bernanke, Geithner, Summers, Rubin, Mozio, and Lewis. That would make my life complete.

They'll have a jury of republicans. Investors and bankers will inevitably be acquitted of any wrong doing.

Insider trading? Have they finally arrested Bernanke, Geithner or Blankfein? Long overdue.
