I would LOVE to see all these groups cut off. It just astounds me how much religious subsidization there is in this country. Why should my taxes be supporting groups run by people who don't respect either my family or my marriage. Thank you so much for this list.

Go to Guidestar. org and open a Free Account and you can read the 990 Tax Filings.

You can search any word to like Christian, Jewish, Faith Based and well anything.

There is a Form about 3/4's of the way thru where they check -- Majority of funding come from the Government. It is just before or after the amounts they have gotten in previous years.

Teabaggers have no words of their own, no thoughts of their own, no values of their own, no goals of their own. They're a fan club, nothing more. They eat, drink, sleep, think, & speak precisely what their media demagogues tell them to, all the while heedless that they are really being treated with open contempt & being laughed at behind their backs.

Blissfully basking in their ignorance, beatifically oblivious to the reality that they've been duped into doing the bidding of a cadre of cynical bigȏts, unrepentant rȃcists & manipulative chårlatans who constantly saturate them with faceless, mindless panic, imbuing in them a palpable loathing that they are told to direct towards people whom they know nothing about.. about people they’ve never even heard of before some putrid talking head or some disembodied voice over the radio tells them who to fear today.

Who to hate today.

And then there are those who inhabit their "Valhalla"..

Their "crème de la crème",

Their "newly elected representatives".

Silent as their enablers hurl rȃcial epithets, scream hȏmophobic insults, spit on lawmakers, wield firearms at Presidential rallies, promote breathtaking lies in the media with nary a whimper from the GOP objecting to any of it.

And, when the inevitable finally happened & some unbalanced dupe actually ended up kȋlling someone, these "bastions of populism", these “patriots", these Republican cowards distanced themselves quicker than Glenn Beck could conjure his "Vapo-Rub" induced tears.

All the while waiting for the next batch of flunkies.

"With leading conservatives organizations not participating this year, Senator [Jim] DeMint will not be attending. He hopes to attend a unified CPAC next year,"

Yes a unified CPAC by excluding a group of Conservatives. Makes sense...

Their agenda won't allow them to attend because their political contributors won't allow them. You can't think for yourself in today's democracy. Focus on the Family also won't attend...how "christian" of them.

Truth be told, they just don't want to attend because they know Ron Paul will win the straw poll there in an even bigger landslide than he did in 2010:

Self loathing? That's too strong a term actually. I recently went to a dance performance from a new Seattle company, Whim W'Him, called Monsters. The company is headed by a prominent member of Pacific Northwest Ballet and I have to say that the show was AMAZING. Monsters is a tryptic (sp?) Society, Addiction, Relationship. The Society portion depited to homosexual men and the choreography clearly conveyed the struggle of "who am I if I'm not what society says I am?"

What was it Groucho Marx said? "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member." Well, they're trying to join a club that would rather they don't exist.

My dear gay brothers and sisters...WHY? Why would you want to belong to an orginization
that, for years. has been committed to oppress you? I scratch my head and wonder. Does
being a member of a political party that hates you and in some cases encourages us to
make your sexual orientation a crime, make sense? I just don't get it. Republicans,
concervatives, tea baggers are not your friends, they are not in the trenches firhgting
for your rights, they would rather you not exist. Why?
03:54 PM on 01/24/2011
Thats a rather broad brush you just used. There are some (fiscal) conservatives like myself that try very hard to change peoples views from within the party when it comes to gay rights.

The same can be said of the Democrats though, California prop 8 showed just how tolerant and dedicated most Democrats are to gay rights.

Point is, judge the people, not the party. Support GOProud and what they are doing, changing the party from the inside.

Seems to me, the more a presence gays and lesbians have in the Republican Party, the more homophobic it becomes. Come in from the cold, Bill M NY. The Republican Party base and apparatus is less friendly to gays and lesbians now than it was when Reagan was president. If you are so interested in changing views within a party, join the Democratic Party where your views, even the conservative ones, will indeed be welcome. And more importantly, so will you as a whole person be welcome.
