computers and the internet were a joke back then compared to what is available now..imagine what they will be like 20 years from now...the ones here now will be the joke

Maybe maybe not. Cars advanced a lot from 1900 to 1920. From 1920 to till now? Not as much. I understand they've gotten fancier and more complicated; and that the materials have advanced. But transformative advances are often stacked up front in the development of a product or system.

That being said, I do expect there to be some interesting and bad-assed computers in 20 years. I will surely not be using the ones I have now in even 10 years...

just joking around - the real reason he didn't send any emails was because of the Repubs had control of the house after '94 and hence subpoena power

I'm surprised that Clinton only resorted to e-mail twice as president. Well before 1993 I was sending plenty of e-mail and using the Internet every day. My first web site was even up that year. I guess he was spending too much time looking at the ladies.
02:46 PM on 02/17/2011
But it is true there was not much to do on the Internet. I used e-mail daily in graduate school--to exchange messages with other students and the profs. IMDB was about the only site worth investigating regularly. Sorry if IMDB isn't your first web site....

Would it showed my age if my "official" first website was Nick.com? lol Technically it would be MSN's online "webpage" back in '96 but that doesn't count right? lol

Ditto, I had AOL,Prodigy, MSN. Still have my AOL account. was using in when my son was a todler I believe. He is now a soph in college.
but in Clinton's case, I guess it worked out. Today e-mail and face book are the best places for people who are looking to screw you to look for stuff.

Hey, CG!

My first computer was an 8088 and I used it for several years until I couldn't get parts for it.

My buddy got a 386, and I thought it was SO FAST!

See ya at the Nugget! I am pretty sure that HP will be gone long before that date.
