You know, rather than see a "protest of the day" covered here (Yemen today, Bahrain yesterday, Iran the day before, etc., etc.) I'd like to see all protests everywhere covered each and every day, including Wisconsin. And what ever happened to Libya? The news is out there - and we're not children, and do not need a protest flavor-of-the day coverage.

Agreed. The course of world history is changing. News treatment needs to keep up.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

Republicans thrive on instilling fear of government. It's their stock in trade. But they are the ones to be feared since they do not seem to think that government has anything to do with the people.

30,000 seems like such a big number, unless you are talking about a small state like Wisconsin!!!! Then that is almost nothing. According to the republicans.

why aren't the protests in Wisconsin fighting for the rights of workers as important as the protests in Yemen?

Now there's a hilarious backward statement.

Are you attempting reverse psychology?

If so, I don't think it's going to work.

The ruling class will go to great lengths to protect their gold. It's the same all over the world including the USA. People's lives mean nothing to them.

You are absolutely right ..I have been posting that its going to be a long hot summer that people are not going to let the republicans and their extremism take over in fact they are doing the Dems a favor with their action if they thought 2008 was a landslide wait until 2012...people will be out in droves. We ARE going to fight back and the message to corporations you can spend a zillion dollars on elections but it will be for naught as we will not be swayed we don't want your politicians and their ideology the American public is not for sale!

I enjoy your optimism but just don't see the Majority of my fellow Americans doing much of anything other than complain here on the Internet. Most simply bury their heads in the dirt and refuse to Vote.
