This can not define John Boehner's leadership, for he has proven several times, he possesses no leadership abilities.
The crying drunk is now in charge of the tap room, and all the beer is spilling out on the floor.

To cry or not to cry.... merely whine.

It already has defined him. His lack of leadership, lack of ideas or creativity. If the Government shuts down, it will fall on him an his conservative colleagues, for punishing Obama , when in all reality their punishing the American Public.

This is what passes for a leader in the Republican Party these days? John "Agent Orange" Boehner is just looking forward to those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer on the links. Skrew the baggers.

"Newt Gingrich, a presumed Republican presidential candidate, will visit Republicans on Capitol Hill. Gingrich is the former House speaker who in the 1990s twice led Congress to shut down the government over a budget stalemate." Yeah just the guy to come and give advice.

The Democrats keep giving and giving while the GOTP dig in their heels like children.

Poor Speaker Boehner. He isn't very good at his job and Cantor is plotting against him. It's almost enough to make you cry.

Well John I know what you're thinking. "Will my buddies at Fox be able to manufacture public opinion and shift the blame?" Well, to tell you the truth in all the excitement I can't tell either how the blame's gonna fall on this one.

But being that this issue is so toxic that it could end up ruining your political career and sending your beloved party back to the sidelines, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya punk?

if you allow a shut down will a few protests by GOP toadies deflect the blame? Will your buddies at Fox be able to manufacture public opinion.

This is an intoxicating story. Speaker Merlot faces a sobering challenge, indeed. However, I think now that the hang-over from the Tea Party success is long gone, he will set the bar high and reach a deal with the Democrats.
