Lmao thank god i only use my ps3 as a media center hub. I've always felt like something free like that is a scary thing. It's near impossible to give liability to a company when they give you a service for free, at least with xbox live you can hold microsoft accountable for screwing up. For all I know, some of my best friends credit card numbers are now stolen... All because of a security breach on there part, and i doubt anyone will get compensation. Sony may get a fine, but i think its unlikely anyone who suffers any lose's through this will get anything except a sorry due to the fact they were being given the service for free.

And now, I feel better for not owning a PS3

Luckily, I lied on all of my info, plus I have no credit card. Sucks to be the people whose CC info was stolen.

This is why I only use a debit card when buying stuff on the net. I charge it with cash only when I need it, and no one can run up debts even if they get all my details.

That makes no sense at all. Credit Card companies will protect you in the event of fraud. Good luck with your debit card. I've been in both circumstances, and trust me... you are better off with your credit card.

It makes complete sense. Fraudulent claims are a complete nuisance, and sometimes they don't protect you at all. I too have been in both situations, you were likely more fortunate than I.

I'm with you. Debit card exposes your bank accounts. Credit card losses are limited. For that matter over the past 10 or so years I've been contacted by the credit card company before I was aware of any issue and not once was a liable for even a penny.

Well this just keeps getting better and better for Sony.
