These creeps don't care that you don't like them once they've assumed their power. They laugh at you people who they feel are their minions and have to take whatever they dish out to you. Christie and all the other republican governors and legislators who don't give a good cahoot about you know there's nothing you can do to them until the next election so they will take advantage of their power until they don't have it any longer.

Next time, pay better attention and know more about who you are voting for to prevent people like these from making your lives miserable.

Ummm the Democrats in New Jersey don't want people to pay attention to elections because it maximizes the superior organization of the public sector unions that support them.

WPU is a NJ State institution. Probably the Administrators made a choice of the Lt Gov as she is the highest ranking woman in NJ government and the first Lt. Gov. of the State. NJ never had one before and the post was created due the contunuity issues with Governors Whitman (to become EPA head) and McGreevey (as he came out as Gay and had allegedly given a state appointment to a former male partner).
I am glad to see students protest her speech. The financial crises beteween crushing loan debt and not enough decent paying jobs facing college grads today is an obsenity that needed the attention it got.
My nephew graduated last week from another NJ State College, Ramapo State and their commencement speaker was US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayer. She had attended the graduation of a Nephew a few years ago there and along with being the first Hispanic SC Justice and actually giving a very good speech (per my mom and brother) proved she was a very good choice acceptable to all there.

I just can't comprehend this country's priorities anymore. There are always billions for some new way to vaporize thousands of people with the push of a button but no money to educate the people who are the future. I feel so sad for the young people going to college today. It's supposed to be a time of growth, curiosity and friendship. Instead they graduate with a huge debt and few job prospects. I went through college in the 60's when tuition was about $150-200 a semester for a full acedemic load. It was pay as you go. But of course that was when excess wealth was taxed as it should be. Move over Honduras, here we come.

Why do institutions of "higher" learning invite political thugs to give commencement speeches ?
Kiss up to the thugs in power ? As a way of getting the school name known ?

That's the concensus throughout this nation. As long as they disrespect and damage the low & middle income earners in this country, and hear the uproar, knowing the difficulty the people have to stop them...it's okay and they thrive on it. It's bullying in its purest form.
