A bit of research shows that this was a joke played by the Aviary CEO when the company was looking to hire an office/community manager.

This is funny....I used to include a photo of myself on my resume.....the photo was of Dick Cheney American flag behind and all....I got a job and they didn't find out the pic wasn't me until they were putting my company ID badge in the mail.....and no they didn't fire me for it.

OH! So THIS is why I can't find a job! Cause I don't cuss and be obnoxious in my cover letter. Let me get on that immediately.

They had this once before...another resume. I thought it was funny. But this is basically that, regurgitated. And, come to think of it, this could easily be made up. Which would take any semblance of funny out of it.

"this could easily be made up" - wtf? Really? Are you seriously saying that you think someome might actually believe that he killed a hawk with ninja star? LMAO!

Thanks for making my day. :)

I apologize profoundly for your vapidity. When I say this could be made up I'm saying I'm incredulous that anyone actually ever sent this as a resume. I'm saying someone probably just typed it up as a joke, posted it here, and dupes us with, "wow, look at this resume!"

Perhaps I'm right, perhaps I'm not, but that's what I was skeptical of---not in regards to the clearly doubtful content of the cover letter. But I'm glad I could give you a blissfully-empty laugh---and a lesson in reading comprehension.

Made UP?? Gosh, do ya think!!!

Now if only I'd thought of that. Best line: "Need my resume? Nope. Not when you got my FACTS."

Yup - I guess his spelling kills aren't quite " the sh$t", huh?
11:45 AM on 05/25/2011
LOL. Wish I thought of that when I was applying for job. Well I wouldn't have the courage to do that but I wonder how employers would respond? They always responded to me "we regret to inform you, you have been unsuccessful", so how could it get any worse than that? LOL.

Huff Po could have put in 2 minutes of research to give us a more factual story. Oh well. I now know to be very skeptical.
10:59 AM on 05/25/2011
I Googled and found that the company (Aviary) claims that the CEO of the company sent it in as a joke but had to confess as being the author when the HR person wanted to call in the police to be there when Roanald arrived. Others suspect that it was a PR stunt for the startup company.

Although the honest approach of this is fun, the writer obviously isn't that smart because there are a few grammatical and spelling errors. I would avoid profanity, as well. If a similar message could be shared in a more G-rated way, this could be a fun, new approach in today's competitive job market.
