Geez Louise HuffPo, really? "Classic planes are flew into Farmingdale", and "Classic Planes Honor Veterans". Does anybody check your copy before you publish, or does a single pass through spell check do it for you? It is Memorial Day? Honor Vets by at least checking the copy of the story about how they are being honored by some.

They are too busy over there supporting the posters to the article about Sarah Palin being with the Vietnam Veterans. I never saw such awful language in my life that they are allowing people to write. Of course, none of those characters are taking a look at this great display. ---Great in spite of the awful editing, of course.

Isn't that the truth!! The liberals are some of the most venemous people posting their messages. I know I can be bad - and mine don't get posted (for good reason In suppose - but why should their even worse posts make it through?).

Also, shouldn't the first sentence start "There are plenty of ways . . .." since "There's" is a contraction of (Their is" meaning singular not plural? For a brief article, I agree that it was horribly written. Let us hope that it was not written by a graduate of one our esteemed schools of journalism.

To all Veterans current and past: Thank you!. Your service and sacrifice is not only appreciated, but revered by many.

Hold your heads high and proud, for you volunteer to make the ultimate sacrifice, and for that, your countrymen will be forever grateful.

To the families of the fallen, you too should hold your heads high knowing your son, your daughter, mother or father, died serving their country and deserve the highest respect we could offer.

Thank You! I'm only sorry to have been part of the only war we lost - ViteNam, though I am proud of my two tours (69-71). I just wish the people and government weren't so ready to forget us because we lost.

Korean war vets were forgotten also, with that said, I thank you for your service.

YOU DIDN'T LOSE! The folks in Washington are the ones who lost this one for America! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

All this veterans asks is that you honor those who came before you and serve as an example for those to come

Not appropriate on this weekend of remembrance. He is our CIC and he has great respect for our men and women in the service.

I would have been interested in hearing the WWII vet discuss his awards. Instead we get voiceover.

In any event, I doubt somewhat that that rather new-looking jacket could be WW vintage. Might have been purchased as a replacement in relatively recent years.

Headline: Classic Planes Honor Veterans

Observation: It would probably be good to put up a photo of a classic plane, not an F/A-18 Super Hornet.

That's one thing about HP you can be sure when they post a picture for a story that, that picture is not the picture the story is actually about. Maybe a file photo or one which the subject is about. In this case planes.

First thing I thought!

But it's true, the Hornet was inducted in 1983...twenty-eight years ago.

With all it has done, it really is a classic. It was the multi-role that replaced the pride parade that was the Corsair, the Prowler and the Intruder... did it also replace The Viking?

It will never be the F-4 Phantom: The muscle car of multi-role...

I loved the F-4 Phantom II. That was one sexy aircraft. LOL

"Classic Planes Honor Veterans"

How do inanimate objects honor veterans?

Wouldn't " Veteran pilots honored at Memorial Day air show" make more sense?
