If you can't win an election, than the next best thing is to "buy votes," or "steal them."

Who needs stinking elections anyway?! I'm sure that the GOP powers-that-be are working hard on just how they can eliminate them although as soon as they're in power.

I've said it before (in various ways) and I'll say it again. Let them get all the money they want from whoever they want BUT it has to be displayed during all speeches and communications very clearly. Not the fine print seen in car adds. Not the scrolling credits that go 100 mph. Not the voice over that can talk a mile a minute.

Come on candidates and politicians, be proud and shout it out!!!! There should be no shame.

that's not good enough either. most voters don't pay close attention and haven't a clue what those names or groups would represent, just as they don't now.

Group names mean nothing:

Americans for Tax Reform = Koch Bros for Tax Elimination
Americans for Prosperity = Americans for the Prosperity of the Koch Bros and the Oil Barons
Freedomworks = the Reincarnation of Dick Armey and Voodoo Economics
Pro-Life = sorry, Pro-Birth/Anti-Life
Americans for Jobs = yeah, jobs in the oil and gas industry (but heavens, lets get rid of all those pesky government jobs)

HYPOCRISY IN PRINT, day after day, lie after lie....

At least retailers have a "truth in advertising" regulation.......but politics are free to embellish to their hearts content.....(course, if they have their way, even those regulations will be eliminated......)

How do we impeach John Roberts? Ann Coulter had a suggestion for getting rid of unpopular supreme court justices, but poison seems a little severe. But certainly Roberts is an enemy of America and needs to be treated as such.

Perhaps in 1,000 years nations will be replaced by corporations. Perhaps Coca Cola will take over here in the US, Pepsi in China, and Snapple will buy up Russia. If that happens and I wake up from my cryogenic freezing in tact, I think I'll move to Yoohooland.
02:49 PM on 06/14/2011
You could start a super PAC that raised money exclusively to advocate for the impeachment of John Roberts. You could probably raise millions that way.

You could start a super PAC that raised money exclusively to support demonstrators who picket outside of the homes of the Supreme Court justices. You might be able to change the law very quickly that way,.

How do I get a PAC? Send me money!
I'll start one!
:)
03:04 PM on 06/14/2011
It's easy. Go to the Federal Elections Committee website and download the packet on how to start a PAC. They can be started by a single individual and can accept money from any source. A custom website might be the place to start soliciting funds. Go to:

http://www.fec.gov

In the America of the future everyone will be given a super PAC when they are born. They will need it since there will be no safety net left.
