Well, you you do know that holding in flatulance
might actually cause you to rise into the air and
be blown away. I can see their comparible logic.

I hope he knows that. It was way to funny to be real.

If all the Hot air that the Republican/Teabaggers expel hasn't altered the Earth’s orbit I doubt that wind farms could.

Don't get carried away, people. It's a spoof, people, a satire, a parody. It's not real.

But speaking of real "Earth issues," the Japan earthquake did cause a slight shift in the Earth's axis.

"Oh my god, kids could drink that water and get wind in their brains,"

that's a republican comment if ever there was one
04:18 PM on 07/02/2011
But seriously, wind farms are stupid.

A GOP vote is a character flaw at this point.....
05:07 PM on 07/02/2011
...not nearly as stupid as burning coal in the 21st century.....

As if those are the only two options.

And you are obviously brilliant - that's sarcasm, I'm taking from your message that you are fairly slow.

So do you just like saying stup.id things, or do you actually have an argument?
08:30 PM on 07/02/2011
What I said wasn't stupid, living next to a wind farm is horrible, and wind power is not very efficient.

One should always be a little improbable.

The sad thing is that reading the headline, right up through the word "Warns" I thought it was perfectly plausible that the coal lobby would say that.

I mean, we live in a world where Ann Coulter says radiation is good for you and Tony Hayward says that the environmental impact of the BP spill is likely to be modest. The world has become a caricature of itself; satire is a lot harder to identify than it used to be.
07:14 PM on 07/02/2011
You do know that Kemo is radiation... Tony is just a fool.

Chemotherapy and radiation treatment are two different things. While both attack cancer cells, neither is "good" for a person. While I was lucky with radiation, getting only a mild burn, another woman going through exactly the same schedule of treatment had burns that turned into raw wounds that took two months to heal following treatment.

Chemotherapy is a series of toxic medicines in doses that kill all fast growing cells -- not just cancer but red and white blood cells, hair follicles, mucus tissues, skin cells and nail beds. The side effects, which fortunately are temporary, include baldness, anemia, an impaired immune system, blistered and peeling feet, bone pain and exhaustion.

It's hard to believe someone Ann Coulter's age can be so foolish or so lucky that she's never been through cancer treatment or had a friend who's been through cancer treatment. Or, then again, she may not have friends.

If you have too many fans in your house, it can get a little noisy, especially if they start to cheer.
04:03 PM on 07/02/2011
May I add another problem with turbines. It stops/slows down the air from reaching its destination. People downwind could suffocate from insufficient air.
04:03 PM on 07/02/2011
I don't even need to watch the video for a laugh. The headline is enough! Too much!!
03:57 PM on 07/02/2011
This is true. If you put fans on anything it moves. It's only natural the same thing could happen to Earth. Then what? Then you libs are going to cry for government hand outs to heat your home because we're not in Sun's orbit anymore. Newt already warned us about this.
