Clean renewable energy is cheaper, safer, cleaner and vastly more plentiful than any other type of energy source.  We need to ditch fossil and nuclear energy before they run out and destroy the entire planet.

The price you pay at the pump is subsidized by the government.  Not only does the government give money directly to oil companies, but it also fights wars for them to acquire new resources.  You pay for your gas through your taxes too, not just at the pump.  Also, oil is a finite resource, and when demand increases and supply decreases, the price goes up.  Oil is destined to become extremely expensive as it starts running out.  Clean renewable energy is only going to get cheaper and cheaper as time goes on.  There is no need to subsidize it or fight wars for it.  It is sustainable and profitable all by itself.

Is that the official company statement, or an independent report by the government? I better check Fox News and the Wall Street Journal to get the facts. Huh, Rupert?

I'm sure wildlife will be hurt in some way as a result. And why no pics?

They had to get the Koch brothers to fly in the paper towels for them to proceed with the cleanup.........like they are doing in Montana at the Yellowstone River pipeline rupture...and I'm not kidding.....using paper towels! Unbelievable! With all the technology we have today, the best the oil company can do is PAPER TOWELS!!!!!
06:57 PM on 07/18/2011
What they are using are NOT paper towels. They are oil absorbing pads that in fact will not even collect water. Really, take a look-http://www.supplylinedirect.com/store/spillresponse/absorbents/oil-only/

Nope, she ditched Alaska for Arizona because it's easier to annoy more Americans down here and make more money while she's at it.

Eh...who needs moose stew when you're raking in the millions?!

I keep trying to tell you all that these things are no accident - the world's water supply is being tampered with......... for a reason.

I DO believe you and I also believe the next war will be over water......not oil. In the West we are already fighting to keep Colorado water clean and in Colorado, but it's a major battle in the making.

Maybe we should just give the keys back to the Indians. We were not very nice to them the first time around. It is a great thing they are doing. I think the only response we have to all this is to go individually green. But the more we save the more will go to building the Great State of China. Still, we need to do it for ourselves.

Wampanoags - Blackfeet - Rosebud Sioux - Pine Ridge Lakota - eight more reservations along the Missouri River and many more reservations are all either using or evaluating wind power. The Energy Department estimates that wind power from tribal lands could satisfy 14 percent of total U.S. electricity demand. Solar projects on tribal lands could generate more than four times the total amount of energy needed to power the country, the government says. Yet only a handful of commercial-scale, renewable energy projects operate on Indian lands. And we'd be happy to take back the keys....we know how to keep a country environmentally sound!

"And we'd be happy to take back the keys....we know how to keep a country environmentally sound! "
I love it!

North America was functioning just fine for eons before European settlers came over and started messing with stuff. The lands were so rich, plentiful, and sustaining when tribes were still running things and the land was still natural.
Like I read a report once that said that all of the weather proofing (for hurricanes and whatnot) the government did in the LA bayous actually made it more susceptible to hurricanes like Katrina. Prior to all that "fixing," the bayous and waterways provided natural barriers against horrible hurricanes.

So man generations of humans have been so horrible to this planet and usually all in the name of greed, or only planning a few years (*maybe* decades) into the future. Thank God some people are fighting back and doing better!

Take it all the way my friends. Capture the future. You are probably the only ones who will do it now that this nation is busted from Bush.

I do now believe that the agenda is to trash this globe so badly, that the unquenchable desire to rape this world will be able to continue, unquestioned and unabated.

If they admit to 2-4 thousand gallons, you can bet it is at least a hundred times that. Just like the "small" leak in the Gulf----it was a gusher that went on for months.
