no surprise, just hoping to see some evolution of the thought process.

Right. I have seen prostitutes with scholarships, zero loans and in their way to their PhD. Some people (male and female) simply like the business.

Oh please...cry me a river...Instead of going to college when I was "supposed" to I raised my now teenage daughter. It was tough, since I owned a $35K condo, but I never sunk so low that I sold my body for money to take care of her. I would rather be poor and real than a fake, gold digger.

I agree. I had to do the same thing...but I'm not going to knock these young ladies. The society they live in is totally different from even 20 years ago (I don't know how old you are).

In all fairness: you had a choice - daughter or college. And without condoning the trend of sugar babies, all the mockery here about this theme ought to be directed towards the fact that
college cost in this country are outrageously excessive compared with most European countries. My total cost across 4 years at an European university summed up (decades ago)
around $ 4,000 (in today's $) which I was able to finance myself as a high school part teacher and cab driver in the evening. A healthy socialistic component in many capitalistic European countries allow for such reasonable tuitions, as the entire school system is financed with tax payers' money. That creates equality among all that desire to study, while here in the US it is
again about business: student loans make interest. It is high noon to make a few substantial
changes here.

Actually I could have had both, college was paid for but my parents were not happy I chose my daughter at the time.....It wasnt always this expensive....when I graduated in 1993 you could have gone to an American university for way less then it costs now. I think my Florida prepaid program was about $10,000 for four years.

So instead of saying wait a minute we cannot keep electing people who are allowing "non-profit" state schools to jack up the tuition, The American people and foreign nationals just shut up and paid it.

Has "sugar babies" become the new PC term for "prostitute"?

I understand what's being said but in life there are never any guarantees even when you do everything right.
