Unbelievable tennis in this U.S. Open Final....Djok's comeback win over R. Fed was unreal down 2 sets to none, and Nadal was up 2 games to none in each of the first two sets, but Djok found a way to not only get back in those sets, but to win each one of them handily....you don't see that EVER vs. Rafa, especially in a grand-slam final.
However, a lot of these people are complete "prisoners of the moment" as it comes to where Djok belongs in the history of tennis after this ONE AMAZING YEAR, and they forget that Nadal and Federer are waaaaaaay ahead when it comes to grand-slam titles....don't get ahead of yourselves, pleeeeease....

The behavior of the fans was really terrible. I've never seen such rudeness so frequently at such a big match.

When they played out by the airport, you couldn't hear the crowd for the jets constantly flying overhead. Maybe they should move it back.

Unbelievable match. The third set was epic but the other sets were fairly reliably controlled by Novak. His serve and his confidence were very impressive. That said, no shame for Rafa. He is a stud and a gentleman-was just beaten by a sizzling hot player on this day. I'm looking forward to a long and riveting rivalry between these similar-aged players.

Boy he has had an unbelievable year. He just dominated Rafa those first 2 sets. The 3rd set was some of the best tennis I've ever seen. Then he crushed him again in the 4th. He has a big future ahead of him on fast courts, which is 3 of the 4. He literally smashes the ball on nearly every shot.

What other sport can hold up the game to get a nice back massage for like 10 minutes. What a farce.

It wasn't ten minutes.  And every sport, they have trainers that administer to the players during commercial breaks, half-times & timeouts (which tennis doesn't have).
08:55 AM on 09/13/2011
That wasn't a commercial break, he requested a medical break & he's been criticized often for doing this in the past...

And they can all go out of the game anytime they are hurting and be replaced. Not in tennis singles.

Tennis feels funny (not ha ha) these days. Nadal looks like he's shrunk. Serena's rage is palpable . Stosur looks suspicious. Something's not right.

A great match. Marred unfortunately by the Joksters insistence on a religious display after the match, as if some god cared more about his tennis than say peace in the Middle East. Get real.

God, I think, likes Rafa but then switched over to watch the Patriots-Dolphins game.

Nole!......Nole!...Nole!....I was so happy for Novak.

It was a really great match.

Raffa has the heart of a lion.

Love them both.

What a difficult match. They were both in horrible physical shape. It was odd Novak needed his trainer to late in the day but you could tell his back was killing him. They are both warriors and they both deserved to win. I am partial to Novak for a variety of reasons. I'm surprised his cute parents weren't there.

I am THE tennis fan. I am good friends with Ginepri and he has been predicting this for a long time. Years ago he said Fed only plays at 80 percent (this was before fed was number 1). A couple years ago he predicted Djok would take Fed's spot. It thought he was wrong but I stand corrected.

Four Slams is a far cry from 16. Federer is the best player to ever play the game.

I couldn't agree more. I have never seen anyone play the game like Federer. He is still a huge threat at the slams.

Novak took the number one spot from Nadal, and Novak will never do what Federer has doen over time, he is already having injury issues.

Navok's game is pretty bombproof. He has a very strong mental game and that accounts for so much at that level. Novak I don't see having near the legacy Fed will have but I think he'll stay number one for a couple years but yeah, injuries could easily change that.
