Cain and Obama Insult Blacks

Posted: 09/30/11 04:15 AM ET

Obviously I'm not qualified to speak for black people, but if I were I'd be insulted by what I've heard from the President and Herman Cain lately.

First, Barack Obama accuses black leaders of wearing "bedroom slippers" instead of "marching shoes" and admonishes them to "stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying." Never mind that some in the audience had actually marched in the 1960's when Obama was a mere child.

Then we see GOP star-of-the-moment Herman Cain claiming that members of the African American community "have been brainwashed into not being open-minded, not even considering a conservative point of view."

Assuming that Cain's recent successes place him near the top of the heap, we are witnessing the spectacle of black leaders, including our president, stereotyping their own kind with words that no white politician could even imply without extreme danger to their careers.

It's time for Obama to go... He probably has until January to make sone headway on the economy and in polls or the party leadership will approach him privately and ask him not to seek another term and pull an LBJ, in a vain attempt by the party to try to hold on to the senate.

His resume should have set off alarm bells that he was no where close to being ready.. Heck his resume might fill up a postage stamp.

Suppose soon, if he rises in the polls a bit, I'll have to take the utterances of Mr. Cain seriously re black people, but for now I'm going to skip his stuff. Which leaves the utterances of Mr. Obama: insulting, tone-deaf, ungrateful and arrogant. Truly a low spot in a term pockmarked by many.
