President of the World

While President Barack Obama might not get all the deals he wanted from foreign politicians on his latest overseas trip, he's certainly winning over the people in these countries. Indeed, he's well on his way to becoming the world's most popular leader.

This matters because we can imagine a point when Obama's popularity around the globe puts pressure on politicians in some countries to give him more of what he wants. Which is good for America.

Or, at the very least, we don't have to feel as uneasy traveling abroad as we did during the Bush years.

PREACHERS, TEACHERS AND POLITICIANS


Preachers, teachers and politicians
Too many times turn out the same.
Forecasting predictions of what lay ahead
Confused by self-love, ego and shame.

Forewarning of judgment and our own unawareness
Blaming others for corruption and the mayhem of war
They seek our endowment of revenue and support
As volunteers e-mail or beat on our door.

Thank God for each and every individual
That prays for wisdom, repentance and grace.
Not perfect though remorseful, repentant when wrong
As their devotion radiates from their face.

Listen and watch carefully the shepherds of man
Judging them by what they practice not preach.
Do they make you wonder about their purpose?
As they communicate, inspire and teach.

Yep, we can see the positive Israel response. Poland was tickled with the discussions.

Nobody knew he was coming. Nobody showed up for the speech.

His tactic has been reversed, promptly.

There is a reason for Russians not reacting to Obama

President and Prime Minister are far too careful not to let the people know

and then the other reason....

Russians are far too engrossed on themselves , to attend to anyone anyway....

My daughter just returned from two months in St. Petersburg. They definitely knew Obama was coming and there was great interest. But great interest expressed in Russia is not the same as in Ghana or Europe. They are extremely reserved about expressing political feelings.

Also, there were great entrepreneurial efforts in the production of Obama matryoshka dolls for the tourist trade, one of which I am now a proud owner!

Our POTUS has been so impressive on this trip, meeting w/ world leaders. The status of the USA is risin', baby!!
It is so nice to hear an intellingent and intelligible press conference after the meetings President Obama attended.
