The Week in Debt (VIDEO)

Why not put the debt ceiling hikes on autopilot just as Congress does with its own salary increases? They don't mind doing that without a showdown vote. President Obama's entitlement reform proposal might help him show independent voters he's a deficit hawk, but it sure doesn't help congressional Democrats planning to rally the base by bludgeoning the GOP for voting to privatize Medicare. A few of the topics discussed in this clip with Keith Olbermann on Current TV.

I just can't see the wealthy as being the job creators when all the evidence points the other way. A prosperous working class are the ones who create jobs with their spending, the wealthy don't spend. Ninety five percent of the working class are not able to spend at this time. It is not the wealthy who are uncertain but the worker who isn't sure of his/her job and affaid to buy peripheral needs or wants to stimulate the economy. Their incresed buying power would advance the need to supply these goods and services thereby creating more jobs. We saw this with Clinton's mild tax increase on the wealthy along with increased employment enabling the worker to buy more of these goods and services and at the same time increase revenues with their taxes.
