From one perspective, just a bunch of bloggers.

From another a big step in new ways to cover politics. Bloggers speak truth to power in ways the conventional media often fear. Fact checking could be better, but that's true of much traditional media also.

This convention is also a big step in the transition from big money politics to networked grassroots politics.

I need to find to convincing way to help the younger political journalists help get their editors the message.

Also, more impressions from the day. We'll catch up later with Congressman Zoe Lofgren, Senator Al Franken and others.

I work with these guys, Sunlight Foundation, they're a leader in governmental transparency and accountability.

DNC08: panel, brunch with Richard Schiff (Toby from West Wing) Hey, that show and the Toby character are a part of why I'm here.

Tom Hathaway, Anne Hathaway, Josh Lucas from back, and below, Matthew Modine, all very kind to me.

Hey, he's Al Franken, and I'm not.

Dana Delaney, great in one of my favorite shows, China Beach, and Congressman Bonior.

(Don't tell the gf about this one.)
