Hey, they're getting into it real seriously, looks to me like Mark Drapeau is pushing ahead. From my own experience, he's the real deal.

Start with the SectorPublic blog.

Here's more as they put it:

SECTOR: PUBLIC is a blog providing thought leadership about how technology and innovation are affecting (empowering, and sometimes disrupting) the business of the public and volunteer sector, how public service takes place, and how social change is occuring. One person or a small group, powered by technology in all sorts of new ways, can have a huge difference. So can empowered individuals and groups within large organizations - like government agencies.

Microsoft's public sector division (government, education, health, non-profits, philanthropy) is in a great position to provide this thought leadership. We have some of the smartest engineers, researchers, evangelists, and other types of people around, and we have a huge business partner and customer network that we can draw on for ideas, stories, and writing.

The blog isn't about Microsoft - it's about the great stories of public service and public good powered by innovation, stories often overlooked.
