September is always a hectic month in fashion. Designers put the finishing touches to collections that they've been working on for months to send them down runways in front of the scrutinising eyes of the world's press.

While an air of excitement hangs over each city involved, there is one that whips fashion aficionados into a frenzy like no other -- Paris. The home of fashion giants like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, Paris is the city synonymous with style, and each season Paris Fashion Week is a chance to prove this.

Crane.tv battled through the likes of Anna Wintour and Emmanuelle Alt on the front row at Paris Fashion Week S/S 2012 to chat with Guillaume Henry of Carven, Gaspard Yurkievich, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Commuun, Limi Feu and the husband and wife duo An Vandevost and Filip Arickx who make up A.F. Vandevost, as well as checking out the always innovative Yohji Yamamoto collection.

This season influences ranged from '60s chic to Japanese architecture, even to the parachute dresses seen at Felipe Oliveira Baptista. For a full round-up watch Crane.tv's video, and find out why according to one designer, "Paris is always a cliché."
