Who Won the Final Debate? Drudge Votes Early...

In the words of Amy Poehler's Katie Couric, "again, and not to belabor the point," but in regard to the Drudge Report's erratic -- even by neoconservative standards -- coverage of the final campaign push, exactly what, may I ask, is the purpose of conducting a poll on "Who won the final presidential debate before that final presidential debate is ended?

I knew early voting would be factor this year -- I guess I just didn't realize it would come to this.

The results, however, are not surprising. According to Drudge's Mid-Debate Post-Debate Winner's Poll, John McCain is the overwhelming winner of tonight's still-running presidential debate. As of 10:22 EST, the Republican wins handily, 75 percent to 23 percent.

McCain wins the debate before the debate is over? Wow, that is mavericky.

Drudge's debate polls had McCain winning all 3 debates, contrary to popular opinion and ALL the other independent polls.

Also mavericky: The 74-25 result. That is known not just as an outlier, but an hilarious outlier.

In this age of increasingly meaningless punditry, none has become so meaningless as Drudge Report.

Matt Drudge has lost in this election. His alleged bi-partisan web-site has been nothing but partisan in it's tactics and viewpoints. I have sent him a number of articles which should have been listed on his site out of fairness to both candidates, only to see them brushed aside.

Matt Drudge has betrayed his public and will lose audience.

True. Sad, but true.

I suppose Drudge would stand beside McCain and Palin at their snarky and negative rallies and support McCain as he praised his rally supporters this morning. "I'm proud of all of you". I'm imagining a mother or father hearing c-r-a-p from their kids and calling them in to the house to say, "Well done. I approve and I'm proud of you. Keep it up". Unamerican and dangerous tacic approval.
What McCain should have done, if he wanted to keep his sinking boat afloat, is to stand with Palin and tell his rabid supporters that HE is in charge of his campaign and that HE WILL NOT STAND FOR THE KIND OF RACE BAITING AND HATE MONGERING that has been growing within their ranks. He has had several chances--most notably during last night's debate--to reset the tone of his campaign.
Instead he goes out this morning and strokes the egos of those supporters who have been spewing hateful rhetoric. Says a lot about both McCain and Palin. Not fit to serve. Not fit to lead. Sewer rats.

Sewer rats! LMAO! What a funny visual ... I pictured rats running through trash with McCain and Palin heads ....

One of the most pathetic moments in last night's debate was when the little rat talked about his hurt feeling at what John Lewis said. He started his bellyaching by stating that Lewis is an American hero.

Reall? Then why is an American hero comparing your hate and fear mongering to those of Wallace? Is Lewis a hero or not? If he IS, then why isn't McCain apologizing to HIM?

Obama handles that well, although it would have been nice if he'd added, "John, if you have a problem with a genuine American hero criticizing you, why are you bringing it up to ME during a debate where the American people are anxious to hear about the issues that affect their lives? I could give you a list a mile long of offensive remarks your supporters have leveled at me, but I can take it on the chin, and I don't need YOU to stick up for me "... etc.

Sewer rats indeed.

DRUDGE. The definition of "drudge" is:
1) One who is obligated to do menial work
2) One whose work is routine and BORING
3) HACK

Who cares what DRUDGE thinks. If their opinion had any weight, it would be McCain and Palin who would be way ahead in the polls and gaining votes in swing states.
I rest my case.

Not only can Drudge predict the future, he's able to poll 101% of potential voters!
