If you had to visit 12 countries in the world, where would they be? That was the big question when we began discussing plans for Season 3 of our sustainable food show. After much deliberation, we are pleased to announce that the Perennial Plate has a new gig... the world! We have partnered with responsible travel company Intrepid Travel to bring you a series of international episodes. The announcement comes in the form of a two-minute self deprecating cartoon, capturing the history and future of the sustainable food show.

The series of international episodes will begin in October 2012, with Japan and China followed by travel through India, Sri Lanka, Spain, Morocco, Italy, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa and Ethiopia. The series will stretch over a period of a year-and-a-half, showcasing the people, practices and communities that support, and are inspiring, sustainable eating around the world.

Like past seasons of The Perennial Plate, you can watch the original series and all of its global adventures on The Huffington Post. Check back soon for videos and visit theperennialplate.com for blogs, pictures and tweets from the road.
