The stylist working with the most beautiful and famous women attending the 2010 Golden Globe Awards got the memo. It was going to be long wet night for many and some smartly chose an "updo" or French twist as the look to feature. From the impeccable to the messy "it was supposed to look like this" versions were worn.

Right at the start Nicole Kidman had a gorgeous low, side bun and perfect skin that featured the most lovely neutral but significant lip color. Perfect balance with her fair hair and her blush colored dress. Courtney Cox had the same gorgeous look but with her signature long dark bangs and stand out smokey eye makeup to match. Her artist Genevieve applied Lancôme Color Design Lipcolor in Pale Lip for the perfect balance. Monique's sleek hair and flawless neutral colored makeup application from the amazing Sam Fine were for sure one of the most beautiful of the evening. Each beautiful woman of different coloring, all 3 the most flawless look.

The standout makeup color of the evening clearly was the fire engine red lips on both Madmen Co Stars January Jones and Christina Hendricks. January's look by Rachel Goodwin in her eye popping blue red Chanel Lipstick and Christina in more of an apple red that complimented the apples of her cheeks. Meryl Streep, Carmen Diaz, also in a red bold lip.

But two of my very favorite looks of the night were Halle Berry's black lined sultry eye with the barely there lip color and Christina Aguilera's literally perfect skin, makeup application and appropriate side parted bob. Both proving you do not need long hair and a lot of makeup color to still be one of the most feminine of the entire evening. Penelope Cruz was one of the successful few who wore their long hair down and still managed the flawless old school glamour in the midst of humidity and precipitation. Other interesting and gorgeous looks are Marion Cotillard in her lower blue liner and Jodie Foster in one of her always subtle yet appropriate looks.
