Inspired by Richard Schiff....

Richard Schiff's description of coronation as being defined by a death of sorts conjured up a lot of images in my head, and as we tilt ever closer to yet another decisive moment in history, it's valuable to ruminated on such things. In other words, it prompted me to draw this, hope you like.

Oh, the power of a single quote to create an image in our minds.

This afternoon I read Richard Schiff's most recent Huffington Post blog "Marine One"

In reading it, I was struck by how vividly he described the experience of watching George Bush making his final flight out of Washington (and any substantive political importance) on inauguration day four years ago. It made for a poignant and surprisingly affecting digression on the way we perceive the transference of power, how we perceive the "death" of a Presidency in visual terms.

In fact, his description of coronation as being defined by a death of sorts conjured up a lot of images in my head, and as we tilt ever closer to yet another decisive moment in history, it's valuable to ruminated on such things.

In other words, it prompted me to draw this, hope you like.
