"Touch Me": A Pardoning Playlist For Jim Morrison & Charlie Crist

Posted: Updated:

People are strange. That's the best explanation I can come up with for why it's suddenly so important for outgoing Florida Governor and ongoing Doors fan Charlie Crist to see Jim Morrison receive a posthumous pardon for indecent exposure and open profanity. Thanks to Crist and two members of the Florida Board of Executive Clemency, anybody still considering the Lizard King untouchable for legal reasons is now free to touch away. In the spirit of this rather odd act of public forgiveness, I would like to use the power invested in me as an aging rock critic to simultaneously pardon Jim Morrison and the surviving Doors members for the relative weakness of The Soft Parade album. Here's my playlist for a pardon that's rather late in coming.

PLEASE PARDON YOURSELF - The Avett Brothers
