I was getting my nails done when I saw a couple kissing across the street. As I knew I was going to be hostage to my chair and without the use of my hands for the next thirty minutes, I became enthralled in their kissing which led me to think of my own kissing history.
My first kiss was on a motorcycle at the top of a mountain. I was thirteen years old at the time and I had been flirting with a boy who was seventeen. So one afternoon he asked if I wanted to go for a ride on his motorcycle. I said yes. I was so excited. I knew my first kiss was going to be happening soon. So I hopped on the back of his bike and off we went.
We rode around until we got up high and could see all the houses below. We were in the mountains in the state of Rio de Janeiro, where I grew up.
He turned his bike off. He was nervous but managed to ask if I wanted to be his girlfriend. I too was very nervous but also managed to say yes. And then it happened. His lips moist and full touched mine. Then without being taught anything I just instinctively opened my mouth and my tongue and his touched and then started their dance. At age thirteen I was being baptized into the sensual world of adulthood.
After remembering my own first kiss, I started to wonder how human beings found out about kissing. I mean how did the cave people know about French kissing even before there was a France?
So when I got home, I searched high and low on the internet for the answer and came up empty on facts about the very first kiss in human history. The truth is that historians don’t know everything about the history of kissing. What I did find out was that four Vedic Sanskrit texts, written in India around 1500 B.C., appear to describe people kissing but historians warn that doesn't mean that nobody kissed before then or that Indians were the first to kiss. They say it simply means that artists and writers may have just considered kissing too private to depict in art or literature.
Regardless of where or when it started the fact is that kissing plays a major part in how we relate to each other.
Socially we give an acquaintance a peck on the cheek (Belgium) or two (Brazil) or three (Netherlands) of four (France) and none in the US.
Romantically, a first date usually gets a lingering kiss on the lips, and a partner a passionate French kiss.
In terms of romantic kisses, we all know that a bad kiss can ruin everything because a kiss is like an iron (yes, the kind you use to press clothes) – as I learned that from a bumper sticker on the back of a truck in Brazil – you turn it on on top but it heats up on the bottom.
So below are some other things I learned from the experts while doing my kissing investigation:
1. Turn your head to the side so your nose doesn’t bump into the other person's nose
2. Start with a small kiss, working into a French Kiss
3. Why not try sucking on your partner's upper or lower lip
4. Kiss the cheeks, chin or eyelids.
5. Make sure you brush your teeth or chew a mint, bad breath is a complete turn off.
Anyway, I think kissing is most amazing when you really love the person you are kissing. So if you have a significant other in your life, enjoy and explore kissing as kissing also reduces stress and increases relationship satisfaction.
.
Happy Kissing.

True teaching talent reveals itself when the teacher struggles to engage students in the process, when he refuses to give up until he finds a way to bring about understanding and competence in the student.

It's no accident that every feature film about girls' aggression has been a comedy. To make a real drama about the heartbreak of female intimacy is too dangerous.

Well, there's that story with the apple and the serpent in the garden of Eden. But even that may not be much older than 1500 BC, probably not even that old.
And as we learned only recently, 'all pornography is homosexual', so whatever it was that Adam and Eve found out, it probably wasn't French Kissing.
