If you've already used the end of beach season as an excuse to ignore your daily fitness routine, you may want to stop reading now. This will not make you feel good about yourself.

Over the weekend, a Virginia Beach, Virginia, man smashed two fitness records: for the most pull-ups completed in 12- and 24-hour periods, at--get this--4,310 and 6,737, respectively. The best part? New record holder Rodney Hahn, who will be certified by Guinness World Records over the next few weeks, is 57 years old--that's seven years older than Charlie Sheen.

Hahn is a former Navy serviceman and current certified physical trainer with a degree in sports medicine from Old Dominion University. His current goal? Compete on American Ninja Warrior in 2016. We know he has the upper-body strength for it . . .

Watch him break the record, below. And remember: Being 50 is no longer an excuse for not being in kick-ass shape.
