A Delta Air Lines passenger was "Living On The Edge" Sunday night and lucky for him, Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler was to the rescue.

An eyewitness exclusively tells Dish Nation that the former American Idol judge was sitting in first class minding his own business -- with several of his guitars - when all of a sudden there was a loud thud.

A man in his 30's who was walking down the aisle face planted right near Steven.

"This kid falls between the aisles and passes out," the eyewitness told Dish.

The rocker, who has stared addiction in the face, quickly removed his seatbelt and jumped to his feet to help revive the man.

But Steven didn't have to play doctor, because there was both a doctor and nurse on the plane.

According to the source, the victim was on the floor for about 45 minutes.

"He started throwing up and it was really gross," the eyewitness added.

He'd apparently mixed too much alcohol with his medication.

But now he can tell his friends Steven Tyler saved his life!

Steven was traveling from Nashville to Los Angeles because he's scheduled to perform a new song on Idol on Wednesday night.

It's not the first time Steven, 67, has done something super cool on an airplane. Earlier this year during a Southwest Airlines flight he made a young girl's seventh birthday by singing her a very special Happy Birthday song.
