Australia actually has some amazing beers. Coopers real and sparkling ales are fantastic examples of traditional australian ales, and the microbrewery revolution has been producing some amazing brews (little creatures do fantastic pale ales, and places like Gage roads and Matilda bay do some brilliant IPAs.
But Fosters .... ugh, why do they export that junk, its almost defamation!
Years later I am in a liquor store in Newton Mass, one that prides itself on its beer offerings, and there was Schells, a microbrew for $8 a 6 pack.
Leinenkugels beer was the best kept secret of our cheap beers but it went on to become popular and more expensive too.

And while the list showing the top 50 worst beers is composed primarily of light American lagers, I can assure you, every country has their share of piss.
And I can't even think what an Indian or Egyptian beer tastes like.
