WHY SHOULD WE JOIN TOGETHER TO FORM THE JUSTICE MOVEMENT NOW!?

I. BECAUSE WE CAN!

We are blessed to be living in an extraordinary moment in human history. We have that the information, communication, transportation, and scientific technologies to serve justice for all, in ways that no prior generation could only have imagined! What is missing is the political will! The U.S. political system is outdated and unresponsive to the vast opportunities to transform America for the 21st Century.

Most human beings, including those running the U.S. political system, are living by putting the "past into the future", thus "living into the past." This leads to a "almost probable certain future" like what we have now. It will be more of the same headlines that we read today.

TODAY'S "INJUSTICE" HEADLINES: "ALMOST PROBABLE CERTAIN FUTURE"
(daily from the city where I am)

•USA Today, 22 Dec 2010: Couples Plan for Future with No Jobs on Horizon
•USA Today, 22 Dec 2010: Mayors: Need Rises for Food Aid
•USA Today, 22 Dec 2010: Recession Pummels (Census) Count in Final Round
• Denver Post, 22 Dec 2010: 23% Fail Army Entrance Exam
•San Francisco Chronicle, 22 Dec 2010: California Growth Loses Steam
•San Francisco Chronicle, 22 Dec 2010: Plan Would Make (Health) Insurers Justify Hikes Above 10%

PERMANENTLY ON THE "INJUSTICE" LIST

•Washington Post, 18 Dec 2010: House Approves Defense Bill With Lower Pay Raise For Military

This headline could turn a reasonable person into an unreasonable person waging justice, NOW! Our military, their families, and veterans are bravest and boldest of those waging justice. They stand for justice to the point that they are willing to sacrifice their life and the wholeness of a normal family life. This headline could turn a reasonable person into an unreasonable person waging justice when one realizes that the gap between the richest and poorest Americans now is a record of 14.5 to 1 -- double the previous high gap in 1968 and the U.S. Congress is poised to approve a $79 billion tax cut for richest of Americans. Are you feeling UNREASONABLE yet?

II. HISTORICAL CONTEXT

From my perspective it is critically important to learn from the past in order to inform the future. Here is a quick synthesis of my understanding of the evolution of humanity over the past 125,000 years or so:

A. TRIBAL AGE, COMMUNAL ERA

As humans evolved from other species they lived in small families and communities. Tribal living evolved as groups migrated to different ecological zones in order to sustain the daily needs of the communities and tribes. Communal living was the mainstream of human life, where human beings, in survival mode, sought to ensure the well-being of all in their community.

B. AGRICULTURAL AGE, COLONIAL ECONOMIC ERA (CEE)

The Agricultural Era evolved when humans began to develop improved agricultural and hunting approaches, which allowed for larger human populations to be sustained. This evolved in the last several hundred years into large farming conglomerates. These conglomerates sparked colonialism, where nations states in the global North self-asserted their domination over peoples around the World, and in the Western territories of the USA. As a result, the global slave trade was created, as agricultural conglomerates needed expanded workforces--i.e human beings to support an self-determined domination. Slavery was the hallmark of the ¨Colonial Economic Era.¨

C. INDUSTRIAL AGE; CORPORATE ECONOMIC ORDER (CEO) ERA

The Industrial Age replaced the agricultural era as science and technology revolution blossomed in the past two hundred years. Corporate endeavors, driven for profit only, has build more and more power and control of governments, including in the USA. With the advent of globalization in the last part of the 20th Century, the Corporate Economic Order (CEO) became the dominant driver of US and global policymaking. Export-led growth, the Washington Consensus, and/or neoliberal economic theory was promulgated by the post-World War Powers, in the way the US government was structured and in the way the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and the United Nations (UN) system were established. It is my view that the United States is operating now--wholly and completely--as a "government by the corporations and for the corporations." The CEO era we are living in is broken! I´m a strong proponent of a private sector, where entrepreneurial endeavor is unleashed for to achieve justice for all, or global goods, that are positive and beneficial to allowing all Americans to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

D. INFORMATION-TECHNOLOGY AGE, proposed ERA OF JUSTICE

We have that the information, communication, transportation, and scientific technologies to serve justice for all, in ways that no prior generation could only have imagined! What is missing is the political will!

III 2011-2012 IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A HISTORICAL POLITICAL REALIGNMENT TOWARDS JUSTICE

The post World War II political system that is dominated by Democratic and Republican stakeholders is a dysfunctional, bipolar system, which has reached an intractable stalemate. This stalemate has left the Obama Administration and the U.S. Congress paralyzed and advancing modest change, with limited or no impact for Americans.

Additionally, the intractable "Dem-Rep" stalemate has left a political vacuum. This is evidenced by the recent success of the of the Republican Tea Party Movement. Within 18 months they achieved significant governing authority, and they are aggressively mobilized for the 2011 off-year elections and the 2012 election cycle.

The Justice Movement is not a political party and it does not have any candidates for political office. As a movement is strategically positioned completely outside of the ¨"Dem-Rep" spectrum of political players. The Justice Movement is a group of patriots who are stand for justice for all! The Justice Movement is a safe have for all Americans, regardless of party, to join together and galvanize a 21st Century American Transformation!

Please join the launching of the Justice Movement with Global Marches for Justice, on Monday, January 17, 2010 in Washington DC in recognition of MLK Day, proposed to be held around the USA, and proposed to be held around the World.

Have a great day, and please check out the new 2.0 version of: www.justicemovementnow.net

In peace and solidarity for bold action now,
