Today is the start of PopTech in Camden, Maine. A unique four-day gathering of over 600 remarkable people from around the world who are united by a genuine desire to change society for the better through concrete actions.

The conference was founded in 1996 as the Camden Technology Conference to explore the social impact of information technology.

Today, PopTech is more than an annual conference but a network of innovative people actually doing transformative things across social activism, emerging technology, human rights and economic development, to name only a few.

PopTech's work and the work of its community happens throughout the year and the conference has become a gathering to showcase the best of that work and collaborate to incubate new ideas.
