I like these photo sets because it makes the President seem more human and less God-like. They have said that the President has already begun to feel cramped in the White House--which is understandable, it is a type of prison for many first families. It is good for him to get out and be amongst the people.

Historians have said in the past Presidents have been seen walking around the streets of D.C. like the common folk. While the President probably isn't going to go that far, little stuff like this says a lot.

If you play pick up basketball & don't multi-task, you learn how to or nobody will play with you. Obama multi-tasks with the best of the lot. That will be discussed when somebody does a "Day with Obam" feature article. While LBJ went to football games in Tejas so he could talk politics & missed the game; Obama probably watches the game, uses his black berry, shakes hands, chats up people & a few other things. Obama doesn't miss anything in the game either. You have to constantly scan the full court to watch basketball; it's a fast moving game. If you doubt that, listen to a radio broadcast of a basketball game. Who ever calls a game has to always scan the court to call a game right. If you don't listen closely you miss important things.
The director of a live telecast has a difficult, exacting job. Watch how the shots change rapidly. You must be an artist to direct a telecast of a basketball game. In the old days of b & w with bulky cameras, it wasn't the game you see now.
