There's No Business Like The GOP's Show Business

When the President talks about "Hollywood," he doesn't mean the thousands of dedicated people who work in Los Angeles. Of course he doesn't. He means the Jews.

While trumpeting the new US Joint Chiefs of Staff, US Navy Admiral Mike Mullen, the President lobbed a zinger at every Republican's favorite pinata, Hollywood:

"Many people are surprised when told about the admiral's show business roots. After all, he is humble, well-grounded and filled with common sense. Not exactly what one thinks about when they think of Hollywood values."

Thank god someone said it, because I can't take any more of Hollywood's shenanigans! Someone has got to stop Morgan Freeman from flashing photographers every chance he gets. Show some decency, please! Could someone please tell Meryl Streep to stop with the constant self-aggrandizing? I don't care about her new fashion line. And for the record, if I see one more photo of Daniel Day-Lewis at the supermarket, I'm going to vom. Hollywood should look to that paragon of "humilty" and "common sense," the Grand Old Party.

When the President talks about "Hollywood," he doesn't mean the thousands of dedicated people who work in Los Angeles -- the caterers, the gaffers, the foley artists, the make-up assistants, the gophers and wardrobe staffers. He also doesn't mean the actors, the directors, or the agents, famous and not so famous. Of course he doesn't. He means the Jews.

(Also, the Gays. Every Republican who goes after Jews AND gays gets extra bigot points.) (Actually, he probably means Gay Jews.) (He could probably call them "Gaws," but he won't because that sounds like Jaws and that movie was immorally violent, but more importantly, directed by a Jew.)

Any time a conservative goes off on "Hollywood values" or for that matter, "New York values" what they're really trying to say is Jewish values -- you know, the values of those nine Jews who own all the money in the world and run all the big studios. It's an easy shot at a city known for its liberalism, with a soft undertone of anti-semitism to drive the point home. Pot shots at the immoral institution of "Hollywood" is the new warning about "New York Bankers." It's sort of like how not caring about Fred Thompson is the new caring about Fred Thompson.

Oh sure, the President might be talking about the explicit sex of films like Superbad. But have you been paying attention to the GOP lately? The only thing sexier than the Republican party these days is the Catholic church. Or, there's the violence in movies... But the violence rocking Iraq and Afghanistan ain't got nothing on Saw 17, or whichever number they're on now.

But where, pray tell was the Vice President the other day? Ah yes, Beverly Hills. Oh Republican Hypocrisy, watching you is better than sitting at home with a Netflix of Dunston Checks In and a bag of Reeses.
