I have a feeling this is exactly what they want me to do, but whatevs: Gawker's new feature "Already Over" is so already over. Why? Well, it's certainly not because of the content — so far it's pretty hilarious even if they are blatantly ripping off Jon Friedman. And, well, everyone knows the Jewish market is totally saturated. But SEVEN entries in two days? Okay, six — we'll give you "Tabloid Wars" (which, incidentally, used to repeat all the time on Bravo but has now been totally excised from the schedule, which instead features reruns of "Blow Out," "Work Out," "Project Runway," and a marathon of "Being Bobby Brown" on Wednesday — calculated, no doubt, to throw Osama into a jealous rage). Like we said above, we suspect that the meta-point of "Already Over" is to force some hapless blogger to point out snarkily that the rest of the world is rubber and Gawker is glue, but we have cleverly sidestepped that by not being snarky, as is our wont. Instead, we'll just point out that "Already Over" is the kind of sharp analysis that typifies the best of Gawker, and is so much more satisfying to read than just another kneejerk nasty insult. So please, don't make us sick of it so soon.
