Wal-Mart has fired an unnamed IT technician for taping conversations between the company's PR staffers and NYT reporter Michael Barbaro. The employee also took it upon him/herself to "[intercept] text messages using equipment that searched for key words in messages sent within a several-mile radius of Wal-Mart's Bentonville, Ark., headquarters."
