from YouTube via Radar

WOW. More evidence in the power of YouTube to provide the world with awesomely fun new ways to make fun of our leaders! Via Radar comes this fabulous slow-mo mash-up of the Dick Cheney-hiding-in-the-bushes footage set to Radiohead's "Creep." MASTERSTROKE. It just captures the weird stalkiness of that long, pan-out shot perfectly. Whoever the C-SPAN cameraman is who captured that deserves a medal. C-SPAN must be so excited to have a fun clip. Give that man a raise!
Though: It should be noticed that, though hilarious, the regular-time version of that video seemed totally normal to me when I first saw it — to me, it looked like it played out like this: "Dum de dum de dum— oh, shit. I'm totally about to walk right through a press conference! What do I do? Should I just go? Did anyone see me? Do I look okay? Damn, why did I eat that last danish in the Situation Room? Stupid danish! My ass totally looks fat. Ugh and I hate my tie. Great, and with that cute David Gregory in the front row. I HATE MY LIFE!!!" Or, alternatively, he could have been thinking: "Those puny people. I shall crush them...when I feel like it. For now, I'll just freak them out by staring at them. David Gregory, feel my eyes boring into your skull. KNOW YE MY POWER! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!"
