A 34-year-old Canadian man invited a date to his Philadelphia hotel room using the smartphone app Grindr at around 1:30 on Wednesday afternoon. The victim told NBC10 news that when the visitor arrived at his hotel, he held the victim at gunpoint and sexually assaulted him.

It didn't end there. The men then walked together about 15 blocks through the city, with the victim being forced to purchase Visa gift cards and make ATM withdrawals totaling $3,000. Finally, inside a busy bar at 20th and Walnut, surveillance cameras captured the struggle between the two men as the victim escaped.

Philadelphia police are asking for help in identifying the suspect. If you have any information regarding this incident, call 215-686-TIPS.
