Sean Hannity Hates My Terrorist City

I live in the city where the dastardly Professor William Ayers works. I attended the school where he teaches. I even took one of his classes. I am a bad patriot, my Chicago is an Un-American city!

All of the VP speculation talk over the last few days has certainly made for some exciting television.

Therefore, eager to suck in as much as possible before the announcements come (if they haven't already by the time this blog is posted), I decided to flip on Fixed News Channel Wednesday night only to hear Sean Hannity grill the guest Democratic Strategist as to whether he thought Barack Obama might entertain selecting William Ayers as his running mate.

It's almost September, and Sean Hannity is still talking about this? This topic has obviously touched a nerve with the man. Apparently anyone that has had any contact with this William Ayers guy must be a very bad person.

The University of Illinois-Chicago must be a very bad college, then, for having the audacity to tenure William Ayers as a professor.

And the 25,000 some students that attend that University every year must be very bad because they attend a college where this crazy, wacky terrorist poses as an educator.

The city of Chicago, too, must be a bad place, because why would a city ever allow its largest University to be a haven for a man who wants to corrupt our minds and take over the world!

In fact, I must be a bad person, too, for I graduated from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and what is more, I attended a class taught by the dastardly Professor Ayers.

Or, at least I think I did. Frankly, I don't really remember. Perhaps the class I think I took with him would have made a deeper impression if we had done literary analysis of The Anarchist's Cookbook.

But we didn't. The class was like every other literature class -- a whole bunch of reading, a few papers, some quizzes, and an occasional test.

Sean Hannity would tell you that Professor Ayers warped my mind with extreme liberalism and selected texts full of subliminal messages intended to resurrect the Weather Underground.

But maybe Sean Hannity doesn't know the first thing about how college works, because the only college degree he ever earned was an honorary degree from Liberty University, given to him by none other than Jerry Falwell.

And I would also tell you that only an uneducated goof like Hannity would continue to argue against someone being President of the United States because of second-hand associations. Our past presidents have had much worse associations than one with a distinguished professor who helped found a city-wide school reform program.

Yes, Ayers once did some bad things -- when Barack Obama was eight years old.

I am not defending Ayers. I am wondering what the heck this has to do with Barack Obama seeking the presidency.

It's a smear tactic. It's an obvious smear tactic. Keep bringing it up over and over and over and over again every single hour of every single day until the election and until it gets beaten into the minds of America:

"Obama, Ayers, Terrorist.
Obama, Ayers, Terrorist.
Obama, Ayers, Terrorist.
Obama, Terrorist...

Ugh.

Watch out Chicago, because once the election is over, Hannity is likely to start a campaign to reeducate and fully Americanize the entire tainted city and keep it out of the running for the 2016 Olympics.
