Jack loves rugby. He supports Leeds Rhinos, but had his fingers crossed for England in the Rugby World Cup. Ah. Sorry about that, Jack. But he's got more to cope with than his team not getting through. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just 22 hours old. Now he's 9. He's been in and out of hospital numerous times, often for long periods of time. Aged 2, he was diagnosed with liver disease and recently had surgery to stop him from throwing up. Before that he was vomiting daily, causing weight loss and lung damage. Jack has to take more than 60 tablets a day just to get by. But that doesn't stop him playing rugby and smiling every day.

We rallied the Elbi community to help him.

As well as rugby, Jack loves anything to do with science and finding out facts. On Saturday 3 October, Elbi users submitted their favorite facts to cheer Jack up. It worked. Yesterday, we got this message from Emma, Jack's Mum.

"Jack loved reading all the different facts this weekend. He found some very interesting and some he and his brother giggled at. They certainly kept them entertained during the car ride back from rugby! The one about passing wind had them in fits of giggles for quite a while, although when asked to choose his favourite, quick as a flash he answered -- "The one about why rugby is named rugby, mostly because Vicky said she thinks that I'm an awesome rugby player!" -- Thank you, Elbi, for making my boy smile." Emma.

Here's Jack, enjoying the facts sent in by the big-hearted Elbi community:
