My week started out on Sunday with a hundred mile drive from Monterey, California to San Francisco to participate in the AIDS Walk. Since I had to be there by 8 a.m. for the Star Walker's Breakfast, because I raised more than $1,000, I left at 6 a.m.

The walk was 6.2 miles although I ended up logging more than 11 miles for the day. Internet singing sensation Betty Who performed at the closing ceremonies.

That afternoon I visited my mother-in-law in a nursing facility and met my brother-in-law, less than 24 hours before I was eating in another brother-in-law's restaurant for the second time in two days.

Monday night I spent with my 13-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son. My son couldn't sleep, he said he had been "haunted" for three days by something in the game Minecraft (he couldn't find his house) that I don't understand.

Tuesday by comparison was uneventful.

On Wednesday Biz Markie came in to tape a show I executive produce, Bay Sunday.

Biz was in town to throw out the first pitch at the Oakland A's game. He is the spokesperson for Zevia which had bought out Pepsi as a sponsor.

That evening I served as an emcee at an event honoring 100 Lawyers of Color.

Thursday was relatively uneventful.

Friday morning I met Buzz Aldrin, who I booked and who was in town promoting the 45th anniversary of his return from being the second man to walk on the moon.

Friday afternoon I went to see my daughter perform at a vocal workshop at the Oakland School for the Arts (OSA). LaToya London of American Idol fame was one of the instructors.

Friday evening ended with a shopping trip to Target for snacks for my son and his best friend who was sleeping over.

I made it to midnight before collapsing in a heap from pop culture overdose. I was told that I missed a visit from the Energizer Bunny. That would have surely put me in a blessed pop culture coma.

Peace and blessings.
